Rose Vandenberghe, PhD., LMHC

"I believe compassion is the heart of good therapy and will do my best to help you feel safe and heard. I’ve been in practice for 20 years and have an MA in Clinical Psychology and a PhD in Depth Psychology. I enjoy working with adult individuals, ages 21-101. My specialties include anxiety, depression, aging, life transitions, grief (including eco-grief), trauma, chronic illness, dreamwork, ecotherapy, and the search for meaning in life.

I use primarily client-centered and psychodynamic therapy but may employ other approaches such as Tapping (also known as EFT), Gestalt, or CBT, depending on your needs. We'll collaborate to discover what works best for you, with a focus on reducing your emotional pain and increasing your well-being.

Life has felt especially challenging for many of us in the past 5 years. If you’d like to explore working together, I'd welcome a call or email to schedule a time to talk."

By addressing the whole person, I believe the mind, body and spirit can reveal patterns in our experiences who shape us into who we are today. "I believe our bodies hold the key to healing, if we learn to listen to what they’re telling us. I can guide you in embracing both your past and present, helping you to thrive and move forward with confidence toward your future.

I have been working in mental health for over 15 years plus, in varied countries and with different cultures and nationalities, as well as with those experiencing extreme trauma. I believe in the importance of authenticity. I am a warm, honest, and ‘real’ person who uses humor and compassion as therapeutic tools to help you explore yourself further.

I specialize in PTSD and complex trauma, but also work with anxiety, grief, loss, self- exploration, and varied life changes. I work holistically to include your body as well as your mind and use Lifespan Integration, Emotional Freedom Technique(Tapping), as well as other somatic approaches to reduce your distress. I am also trained in CBT and Psychodynamic techniques, and use Parts Work in my therapy to help you understand yourself better.

Email me if you would like to connect so we can explore how I can help you."

" Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but it’s also profoundly courageous. Most people don’t begin therapy with all the answers; they begin with a desire for change, healing, or understanding. I honor that step deeply.

Therapy with me isn’t about fixing who you are; it’s about uncovering the parts of you that have been waiting to be seen, heard, and accepted. My approach is collaborative, relational, and client-centered. Rather than following a rigid plan, I meet you where you are, trusting that meaningful work unfolds naturally when guided by your insight and readiness.

Some sessions may feel quiet and reflective; others may be emotional or full of clarity. I hold space for all of it: the layered, the uncertain, and the transformative. My role is to listen deeply, reflect on what I notice, and help you connect the dots between your inner and outer worlds. I draw from multiple frameworks while staying grounded in authenticity, curiosity, and compassion.

I believe we all hold an inner wisdom that guides healing. Therapy is about reconnecting to that wisdom and learning to meet yourself with compassion. Growth isn’t about never struggling; it’s about responding to yourself differently when you do.

I’m also pursuing certification in Sex Therapy to support individuals and couples exploring intimacy, desire, and sexual wellness. These conversations can be vulnerable, and I strive to make them safe, open, and free from shame.

In our work together, I walk beside you with warmth, curiosity, and compassion. This isn’t about perfection or performance; it’s about showing up as you are: layered, real, and enough. "
